Sapphire Creation Dance Troupe is a Contemporary/Modern ensemble. The group has grown from a vigorous venture to a dynamic contemporary modern dance group. Being immensely active in national and international collaborations, their work fuses the spirits of professional entertainment, social consciousness and artistic sensitivity through a unique dance language. Their way of dancing has a sense of cultural infusion. The Dance group primarily focuses on dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Modern Dance, Jazz, Modern Vietnamese Dance, Thangata and Kathakali. 

Sudarshan Chakraborty and Paramita Saha are the Directors of the company. Alongside Dibyendu Nath, Kaushik Das, Ankita Dutt Gupta, Pintu Das and Rima Haldar are the senior Repertory Members in the company. They recently opened their dancing academy where they polish and train potential dancers. The Group has performed in major national and international festivals, namely the Puri Beach Festival and Uday Shankar Nrityotsav in 1996, Konark Dance and Music Festival in 1998, Island Tourism Festival in Andamans in '98, Asia Pacific Aids Conference in Kuala Lumpur in 1999, Nehru Center in 2000 etc. They aim to integrate an awareness of tradition, a dimension of experimentation, an urge to entertain and a purpose to provoke consciousness in its dance form.

Their work includes Rituranga- A symphony of seasons, Parivahitam- Perspectives in motion, Positive lives, Walls, Stream of life, Sapphire Scope, Encounters, Indian Erotica- Vedas to the millennium, Post Mortem and the Alien Flower. Apart from this they have many other international shows lined up in Thailand, Vienna and New York in the coming months.
